Conceptualisation

The rolling pin adheres to the vernacular culture of the Ifugaos of the mountain region of the Northern Philippines. Inspired by the garments and clothing of the Ifugaos and the folk dance, Tadek, the rolling pin is based on a rooster and its role in wedding ceremonies among the Ifugaos, as it is eventually used as a sacrifice after the courtship.
